Unsheared Sheep

I wish I had a shearling coat like this! I put a blanket over my fire screen to keep the heat in my cottage from going up the chimney and the house finally seems warmer, thankfully. The only time I am truly toasty is when I am in bed under my eiderdown comforter made in W.Germany. More snow is predicted this week too. Wow, what a winter we're having. Stay warm. xo

Your comforter sounds heavenly! We've been wearing layers, and that seems to help. That handsome sheep reminds me of how thankful I am for woolens! If anyone is looking for well made wool socks, check out Darn Tough. Some of their socks have nearly 70% merino wool, and they feature a lifetime guarantee. It's impossible to feel good if your feet are cold.

Pam -- Thank you SO much for the Darn Tough socks information. I have a drawer full of wool socks with holes in them and mending them is on my list of things to do. I cannot believe anyone sells socks with a lifetime guarantee. I looked and they are all beautiful. I never wear slippers but prefer thick socks and I will definitely treat myself to a pair or two. Made in Vermont is an added bonus. Happy New Year and stay warm.

I had a heavy shearling coat in college. It made me feel like that poor kid that couldn't move in his snowsuit in the movie "A Christmas Story."
